Facial fillers are about adding contour to the face and targeted plumpness in the lips. 1 syringe of Juvéderm is just 1.0 mL (or cc) of product, equivalent to about 1/5th of a teaspoon. 4 syringes of filler in the mid-face, for example, is a common treatment amount and results in a conservative refreshed look.

Voluma is designed to treat mid-face volume loss with minimal swelling. This gold standard of Juvéderm’s fillers has the longest, scientifically proven duration, and can last up to 2 years. This filler is a higher cost, but consider the value when comparing it to other fillers that last between 4-12 months.
Vollure is used to correct severe facial wrinkles and folds. This is very effective on the superficial plane for that airbrushed look. Results can last up to 18 months.
Volbella is a very smooth product for the lips and is used to correct the appearance of perioral lines directly above the upper lip. This product can also be used for subtle lip augmentation. These results can last up to 1 year.
Ultra is a workhorse filler for the lips that can create the perfect pout. This is a great product for patients who want lip projection. This filler can also be used to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds. Results can last up to 1 year.
Ultra Plus is a great budget-friendly filler for those deep, severe facial lines and folds. This product has great lift, fill and a robust cohesivity and is great for deep injections. Results can last beyond one year.
Treatment Areas
It is smart to start by treating the mid-face. By correcting volume loss in the mid-face first you may naturally impact lower-face wrinkles and folds. Treating the mid-face is all about treating volume loss by contouring the cheek laterally to provide a subtle lift. Popular lower-face treatments include filling the nasolabial folds and reducing the mouth frown in marionette lines. Treatment for the lips include increasing overall fullness by adding volume to the “pillows” to enhance their projection and improve lip proportion.
After care? Swelling is possible, so be sure to apply ice for a brief period (up to 24 hours) following the treatment. Plan to postpone any dental, laser or chemical treatments for several days after your filler treatment. Avoid make-up for 12 hours and strenuous exercise, extensive sun or heat exposure for up to 24 hours.
